The included teacher's edition includes three full-color, spiral-bound teacher's guide for the K4 Footsteps for Fours program. Lessons feature a welcome with semi-scripted instructions, a materials list, skill steps covered, and lessons arranged by subjects. Covering language arts, pre-reading, phonics, math, handwriting, social studies, and science segments, lessons also incorporate center ideas, music, art, and cooking. Each subject includes a scripted lesson with teacher instructions, and optional activities. The appendix includes Bible action truths, music & lyrics, reproducible sheets, and visuals. The Teacher's Toolkit CD-ROM provides many extra teacher helps such as weekly, theme-related letterheads, center signs, and name tag templates to assist with both classroom and small group activities. 3 books, spiral-bound, soft front cover, hard back-cover. 1399 pages total.

We have loved Bob Jones Kindergarten curriculum. It is colorful, fun and thorough. Two of our children learned to read with this and I plan to teach the other three from it as well.

I have used this curriculum for many years, for all 4 of my children. One of my children has a learning disability (phenomic awareness disorder), so I had to make some adjustments. I had 2 versions/copyrights, etc of the K5 program, and I used both at the same time for him. for example, I did lesson 1 of the phonics portion of the most current version and the next day did lesson 1 of the previous/older phonics curriculum. In addition, I had lots of other phonics lessons from other companies, mostly on the computer for him to practice as well. The math and handwriting parts of this curriculum are excellent as well. My oldest son has often been praised that his handwriting is excellent. Other adults notice that at a young age my children could do money math very well. The best part of this program was that I had the program on DVD's. My children were able to watch the lessons and pause them as needed. the lessons also included a mom's minutes portion, so I knew what needed for that particular lesson. The teachers on the DVD's are very child friendly and my kids look forward to 'seeing' their next lesson or move up and have an older sibling's teacher. These teachers have a passion for more than teaching, but reinforcing the morals of our family values, which is most important to us. Overally, I recommend this curriculum to all my friends, if you are looking for a similar type of 'regular' school setting approach.

While the phonics program is written with a regular school in mind, it has been easy to use at home. The Characters are fun and help children to remember the rules. I recommend purchasing the reading program with the phonics. If you purchase the complete kit from Bob Jones it includes all readers and teachers guides.
