Willow Tree, Peace On Earth Figurine

Each original Willow Tree® sculpture is hand carved by artist Susan Lordi. Using family and friends as models, Susan’s goal is to capture a moment in time or express an intimate feeling. Pieces are cast from her original carving and individually painted by hand. Softly washed colors, carved and metal accents, and representative icons of nature add depth and sentimentality to this beloved line.

“The idea for Peace on Earth was formulating as our country was making plans to go to war. In a way, it was my response. I wanted to make this figure very human, not an angel. It's not about celestial peace, but peace on earth among us — what we need to contemplate now. I wanted her feet to be on the ground, not flying in the clouds. I gave her dress a very earthy color to 'ground' it. The lamb has always been a symbol of peace; the woman, a peacemaker. Peace — here on earth — is what I tried to portray in color, symbol and look.” - Susan Lordi

Please provide a physical street address when you place an order.  Mardel will not accept P.O. Boxes as shipping destinations for online orders, and your order will not be fulfilled until you provide an alternate physical address to our Customer Service team.  Aside from peak seasons, most orders will ship within 1-2 business days and tracking is provided via email when the order is given to the carrier.  Delivery usually takes an additional 3-4 business days, and some locations can take longer for the carrier to complete delivery.

If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may return your order in-store or online within 90 days of the purchase with receipt.  All merchandise must be in the same, saleable condition as it was when you received it.
