Description of Hands In Heaven by Tony Melendez
On his album, "Hands In Heaven," Tony Melendez reaches beyond the clouds to touch his musical artistry. Inspired by his fans, a collection of nine new songs and one remake has been born. Over the past decade Melendez has sang in all fifty states and sixteen foreign countries, growing in his musicianship and songwriting. "He might not be able to reach out to take your hand, but something will definitely move your heart."
Hands In Heaven, which Melendez also produced, is a musical look into the heart and soul of a most remarkable individual. Selections include, "Lowly Servant," a prayer for help and guidance in the struggles of life; "Hands in Heaven," a touching tribute to people who have pased on and are now praying for us before the throne of God in heaven; "Everybody Sing Alleluia," an uplifting, Calypso, praise and worship song; "Love Is The Answer (a remake of the 1970's England Dan John Ford Coley hit); and, "I Wish I Could Hold You," Tony's touching dedication to his wife, Lynn.
The album features first-rate production talent, including Alfredo Matheus, a highly talented engineer, singer, guitarist, and songwriter, and Rodolfo Castillo (arranger and midi programmer) who arranged for Julio Iglesias. Pat Smith and Augie Leal are great friends of Tony and are talented songwriters. Both are members of CAM (Catholic Association Of Musicians) and have added to the creativity of this album. Pat Duke (background vocal consultant) has worked with Michael Bolton, and has worked on commercials for Coca-Cola, Kelloggs, and McDonalds. A superb group of musicians and singers added to the creativity of the each song, enhancing the quality of the production. "Hands In Heaven," is a musical experience that is as enjoyable to the ear, as it is to the soul.
