Description of High School Essay Intensive by Institute for Excellence in Writing
Prepare your high schoolers for the important essays they'll soon be writing on the SAT and in their college applications. 2 DVDs present SAT winning strategies, including two twenty-five minute essays ("before" and "after"), a review of the College Board's grading criteria, outlines, and instructions on how to practice for the SAT. The other 2 DVDs discuss typical application essays, including length and how to concretely develop their ideas. Students will write out a paragraph and work on a full outline for their own essays. The CD-ROM includes .pdf seminar handouts and bonus texts dealing with SAT prep. 4 DVDs & 1 CD-ROM included in a plastic case.
