Description of Joy by Sara Renner
Sara's first solo project, Joy, was released on November 16, 2001 at Woodland Hills Church. On her debut CD, "Joy" (released in 2001), Sara works her way through twelve sensational tracks full of faith, hope and love. The title track is undoubtedly one of the stand-out tracks on the album. In "Joy", she tells of how Jesus turned her life around and set her free from the world's darkness. She acknowledges that God's timing is perfect, as He is the perfecter of our faith. The result is "joy, joy, joy"! Another stand-out track (and the author's favorite) is "Love Will Wait". Reminiscent of Mariah Carey and other similar singers from the secular world, Sara tells the story of two individuals who, in different ways, have turned their backs on the love God has gifted them through those in their lives, and His son's death upon the cross. But Sara reminds us that "love will wait" even though it's been betrayed by our sinful nature. God is love, and He is a whisper away when we turn to Him. With countless exceptional tunes, this is a "must have" for any fan of Adult Contemporary, Jazz or Soul. Sara & The Elements collectively are a mature blend of fine musicianship and solid tunes for those who appreciate the beauty God makes available in and through His children.
