I am not a history lover and was concerned that would impact how my child felt about history, but this curriculum was her absolute favorite. She even ran toward it at a convention when she saw it and hollered, 'heritage studies!'

The main thing I like about the BJU Press English books is that they integrate grammar with creative writing. They alternate one unit of grammar with one unit of creative writing. The writing units give very simple step by step instructions that walk the student through the writing assignment. I have used the student workbooks without the teacher's guide for the grade school level English since I am pretty strong in grammar. My oldest is working in the 8th grade workbook this year, and there have been a few times that I was wishing for the answer key (I'll probably purchase it next year for 9th grade.)
