Learning Language Arts Through Literature: The Blue Book: Teacher's Book

This teacher's guide is the heart of the Learning Language Arts Through Literature 1st Grade program, and must be used with the required readers available in the LLATL Grade 1 Blue Kit. Teaching has been arranged in four sections: Readiness (2 lesson), Short Vowels (17 lessons), Consonant Blends and Short Vowels (5 lessons), and Long Vowels (12 lessons), with each lesson taking up 1 week. Integrating phonics, reading, handwriting, spelling, and grammar skills, each week's lesson lists the new skills taught in each category before moving on to the materials needed, and step-by-step lesson instructions that include page numbers and semi-scripted questions.
