Description of Legends And Leagues by Veritas Press

Elmo Tardy is always getting lost. But one day he stumbles into the office of Legends & Leagues, Ltd. There he meets Mr. Longitude and Mr. Latitude. They teach him about the concepts of maps, points on the compass, and more. Students will laugh and learn as Tardy is taught all he needs to know to get from Here to There.

Designed for both the homeschool and Christian school classroom, Veritas Press materials provide the structure and information necessary for a successful, classical Christian education. With learning emphasis placed on grammar, logic and rhetoric, students lay their academic foundation first through extensive memorization, and then through the study of logic and eloquent expression. When these concepts are fully grasped, the student is then equipped to analyze and master every other subject.

Legends and Leagues uses the endearing characters Mr. Tardy, Mr. Longitude, and Mr. Latitude to teach the concepts of maps, points of the compass, geographic formations, and more. A fun and thorough introduction to geography! Recommended for use with the Legends and Leagues Workbook.

I love this curriculum. I am using it to catch my daughter up in history that she has not had previously, so she is older than what is recommended. However, it has worked out well for her to do indpedently, which she loves!

I purchased this curriculum because my son, who at the time was in 2nd grade, is a visual learner. I thought the video format would engage him in the material. It did. However, I realized after awhile that instead of watching the video, he was zoning out. I think that the content was above his comprehension (or interest) level. Personally, I liked the program a lot, however I think it may be better suited for older students.
