Description of Lifepac History & Geography: Grade 4: Unit 2: Seaport Cities by Alpha Omega

LIFEPAC resources promote the principle of mastery learning through the use of engaging lessons, activities, review questions, and tests, all with a focus on biblical truth. Rather than following a rigid assignment schedule, students are allowed to master the content in each unit workbook before progressing to the next. Subjects and grade level workbooks can even be mixed and matched to personalize each student’s curriculum content!

Lifepac's Social Studies: History & Geography curriculum helps students to understand the world around them through studying the history, culture and the environment of people around the globe. This Grade 4, Unit 2: US History workbook explores Sydney, Australia and the down-under seaport, Hong Kong and Chinese life, Istanbul and Turkish life, and London from Romans to royalty.

Perfect for students who flourish in a self-paced learning environment, each consumable workbook combines lessons, exercises, projects, reviews and tests.

Comments
LifePac is weak in many areas. It is consumable (which I don't mind) and traditionally textbook style (just like public school model)...this I don't like. The information presented on any given history subject was only highlights and vague timelines. It was like reading the back of a dustcover. My child did NOT have a solid understanding of any of the countries or people studied. It would have been better to use the index of LifePac and gone to the library for books on each place/person being covered.
