Description of Lifepac History & Geography: Grade 5: Unit 4: A Growing Nation by Alpha Omega

LIFEPAC resources promote the principle of mastery learning through the use of engaging lessons, activities, review questions, and tests, all with a focus on biblical truth. Rather than following a rigid assignment schedule, students are allowed to master the content in each unit workbook before progressing to the next. Subjects and grade level workbooks can even be mixed and matched to personalize each student’s curriculum content!

Lifepac's Social Studies: History & Geography curriculum helps students to understand the world around them through studying the history, culture and the environment of people around the globe. This Grade 5, Unit 4: US History workbook explores Andrew Jackson during and after his leadership, Manifest Destiny, the Lone Star Republic and Oregon, the Mexican War, the Compromise of 1850, abolition, and things that divided the nation.

Perfect for students who flourish in a self-paced learning environment, each consumable workbook combines lessons, exercises, projects, reviews and tests.

Comments
This curriculum can seem a bit dry, but for the right children it is great. I happen to have children that love the workbook format. My main reason for not continuing with this curriculum is the lack of distinct lessons. It is not broken into set lessons and wherever we would end a lesson always seemed a poor choice.
