Alpha Omega's Horizons Math incorporates a lot of repetition but not a lot of actual practice per day on the given concept taught. It does have additional practice sheets, however, beyond what is in the workbook. Know that your student will review a number of concepts daily so that the ability to perform the operations and know the material is strengthened through repetition. This review has both positive and negative aspects to it. On the one hand, it does help the student remember and gain mastery over a concept. However, using this curriculum for the first time this year, we found that many concepts my daughter had not been taught in the past or had forgotten, were included in the review sections. By doing some digging, we were generally able to locate the actual lesson on that material later on in the coursework. Some of these lessons were actually located at the end of the course when you would assume the newest material would be introduced.
