Maeve is a collaboration of three individual artists - Courtney Reid, Rachel Taylor and Rollyn Zoubek - blending together their own distinct voices and styles to create a cohesive sound rich with harmony reminiscent of the Indigo Girls and Crosby, Stills and Nash. Recorded in Nashville and produced by Phil Madeira, "the simple and the wonderful" is maeve's debut recording. The record includes ten original songs and one "tip of the hat" cover song by Julie Miller, an artist who's writing has greatly influenced all three members of the band. The songs are a serendipitous blend of acoustic pop, jazz and folk with Americana touches provided by producer Phil Madeira on Hammond organ and lap stele guitar, Byron House (nickel Creek) on bass, and Brian Owings (Patty Griffin) on drums and percussion. 1.
