True North: Using Logic to Separate Fact from Fiction

Theoretically, the application of logic is not as difficult as some would insist. However, pressure from family, friends, employers, politicians, journalists, religious teachers, astrologers, and many others any of whom may be misguided has a way of diverting us from the facts and making independent truth-seeking so painful and unattractive that we may just give up and let our default reaction become 'go along to get along.' But if we can somehow get the courage to actually commit to testing any information for factual basis, we will have the most important resource we need to part the clouds of speculation and/or self-doubt and encounter truths only we ourselves had the actual power to obscure...
