After a life-saving emergency appendectomy, four-year-old Colton
Burpo's family was not only thrilled with his miraculous recovery, but
also astonished by his account of the surgery.
Colton claimed that he left his body and traveled to Heaven during the
operation, offering simple yet precise details to validate. He described
sitting on Jesus' lap, singing with the angels, and meeting family
members who had passed away before he was born, including a
miscarried sister whom he was never told about. Although he had not
yet learned to read, he also provided scripturally accurate descriptions
of Heaven, from the throne room of God to the "markers" of red on
Jesus' hands and feet.
Written by Colton's father Todd, yet told in the endearing and powerful
words of Colton himself, Heaven is for Real offers an engaging and
life-changing glimpse into eternity, all through the perspective of
simple, childlike faith.
