Too Long of a Wait
It has been 6 years, 11 months since Frank Peretti has written a novel. (We won't count "House" he coauthored with Ted Dekker.) And it was worth the wait! Frank weaves a fascinating story mixed with emotion, magic, and science that can only be classified as fiction, yet could it be possible? I found myself turning page after page wanting to know what happened to Mandy, what was going on in Dane's mind, trying to keep up with the characters and stories within the stories that Frank materfully weaves together. If you have been like me and said, "How long will you make us wait, Frank?", then you will not be dissapointed in this book! While it is difficult not to compare any of his books with the "Darkness" books many loved, Illususion will keep you wanting more, wanting to see what will happen next, wanting the story to finish, without ever finishing. My only question now is, "How Long, Frank, will you make us wait for another brilliant novel?" Trust me, this is one "Illusion" you will not want to miss.
