My husband died 7 weeks ago and my pastor gave me this book to read, Thank God for that book it kept my sanity, and brought me closer to God,This book is a must for every christian,I cant say enough about how wonderful it is except read it and watch how your life changes.

I am the person that has been in church my entire life. I am the person that knows the "right" answers about Jesus. But my family has had challenges over the past year that have flipped our worlds upside down. I had someone I was friends with, when were growing up, show up on my doorstep with this book for me, without having a clue as to what was going on in our lives. All she said was "I felt like you needed this book, I love you, read it." And this book, changed my life, I want everyone on the planet to have it. I never doubted that anything about God wasn't true, but accepting His love for myself, and having Jesus call, specifically, to me, has been soul changing, and the same goes for my husband. This book is amazing for ANYONE, it doesn't matter where you are in your spiritual journey, these are basic truths that we have to be reminded of daily. I also want to say, that this book isn't about theology, it's about biblical facts that we should have as a foundation, no matter what denomination we are. I am personally am on the path to becoming an Orthodox Christian, the friend that gave it to me is Baptist (I was for 23 years), I have friends that are Catholic, Orthodox, Methodist, Anglican, and Non-denominational, they all feel the same way. I've never had a devotional book written in a way were I felt that I was being directly spoken to by the Lord. Maybe my friend is an angel unaware :0)

What a difference this book has made in my life. This is the first time I have done a quiet time everyday and looked forward to it. This book speaks to my soul every day and I have never read anything that spoke to me consistently every day and changed me. I have bought several to give to friends and family.
