Lucille Zimmerman grew up in a small town in northwest Colorado, but raised my children in the suburbs of Denver. She had a home-business and was a stay-at-home mom.
Two events: the Columbine High School tragedy (in her hometown), and visiting Ground Zero shortly after 9/11, changed her life. When her children were teenagers she went back to school to become a counselor. She have had a private practice since 2005, and she teaches as an affiliate faculty member at Colorado Christian University.
Through practical ideas and relatable anecdotes, her book Renewed, helps readers better understand their strengths and their passions and address some of the underlying struggles or hurts that make them want to keep busy or minister to others to the detriment of themselves.
