Description of Item
One of the foundational elements of Christianity is the knowledge that Christ lived a pure and sinless life, exemplifying a set of core values that are essential for purpose, fulfillment, and spiritual victory. Yet we are provided with very few examples of this perfect life prior to the start of Jesus’ public ministry.

Introducing the astoundingly beautiful series of fine art paintings titled, The Lost Years of Christ… Teaching Family Values. Though these scenes do not depict actual recorded historical events in the childhood of Christ, they serve as dramatic visual reminders of the qualities He embodied, even as a small child. May the stirring images presented in this collection allow the boyhood of Jesus to emerge and inspire others to live as kindly, compassionately, and generously as did Jesus Christ Himself.

In his piece The Healer, master painter Mark Missman presents an image of Jesus as He accompanied Mary on a visit to the city. As Mary filled her water jug at the community well, Jesus noticed a lame man lying nearby. Instinctively, His hand reached out toward the man as if to give him something. The man opened his hand and felt drawn to the little boy. But then Jesus pulled His small hand back. He had heard a voice whisper, “Not yet. Your time has not yet come.” And Jesus obeyed. Instead, He brought the lonely old man water and talked with him until Mary said it was time to go.

As Jesus left the man beside the well, He smiled back at him and said knowingly, “Someday your cup will always be full.”

Inexplicably, wonderfully, and with nothing more than a memory of a few moments with a small boy beside a fountain, the old man knew hope had just filled his cup and touched his eternal soul.
