This is our first year homeschooling so I don't have a lot of experience with curriculum yet. We used the Bob Jones curriculum (and lessons on hard drive/DVD) for our K5 student. I loved the simplicity and ease of using the lesson plans and materials. It is a good curriculum. The only drawback for us (and this is just an individual preference) was that our son often was bored with the material b/c he is a kinesthetic learner and hard for him to sit still with little to do but listen. He was fine with the material when I worked with him one on one. So, if you have a kinesthetic learner, the DVDs might be a little frustrating to your student.

this is a great traditional program... also offered on dvd or the computer. this worked well for my son, but would not work for my kinesthetic learner.
