This is an amazing series. We used it from 7th grade with Volume I through 9-10th grade with Volume 3. Each volume gets more impressive. We would have used a 4th Volume had it been available. Although I only homeschooled one child, it would be ideal for several children as there are suggested activities for young, middle and older students so all children could be studying the same time in history on different grade levels.

The question regarding money spent over and above the curriculum could be a bit misleading. We LOVE studying history, so we have spent a great deal of time and resources on expanding our study. Every family may not desire to do this, choosing to spend NO money would still afford a complete concise study! Regarding the question about consumable material, we choose to make copies out of the book, I taught my children simultaneously. The curriculum lends to teaching as few or as many children at once in a wide age range. My student's favorite part is the activities at the end of each lesson. They are geared toward different age ranges and many learning styles.

This is a wonderful history program to use with multiple age groups. It has a distinctly Christian perspective on world history and was great for this busy mom and her family!
