Paul delivers a reminder of our identity in Christ.
Ephesus was in Asia Minor, a region filled with spiritual darkness and the site of a clash that was taking place between Christianity and pagan religions. However, the apostle Paul seized the opportunity to advance the kingdom of God. In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul guides the believers through their spiritual inheritance in Christ. This inheritance moves them from death to life and into God's family, something so much better than anything they had in their former lives. Because of this, it's important to "walk worth of the calling", understand and use their spiritual gifts, and put on the armor of God.
The Jeremiah Study Series captures Dr. David Jeremiah's commitment to teaching God's Word that has spanned over four decades. In each study, he will reveal what the Bible says, what it meant to the people at the time it was written, and what it means to you today. Along the way, you will find insights into the text, identify key stories and themes, and be challenged to apply the truth you find in your life.
