Model Magic is resilient enough to be reused and won't crumble or smear. Simply roll it into a ball and store it in an airtight plastic bag. Or, if you'd like to create something more permanent, allow the compound to air dry. Depending on the thickness of the model, the compound air dries within 24 to 36 hours, after which it may be painted using acrylics, oils, and other paint types.
