Coach Don Meyer is the former Lipscomb basketball coach, who led Lipscomb to the NAIA national championship in 1986 and posted a record of 665-179 in his 24 years at the school. After Lipscomb’s move to NCAA Division I, Meyer left Nashville following the 1998-99 season, and started coaching at Northern State in Aberdeen, S.D., the following season and five years later had the Wolves in the NCAA Division II national tournament.
He was more than just a successful basketball coach. In 2008, he got in a severe car wreck and lost his leg. He retired from coaching in 2010 and went on to serve as a motivational speaker. My Many Sons captures to journey of this remarkable coach and his inspirational story.
