Ron Hall (Greg Kinnear) is a successful art dealer who has it all, except for a loving marriage. When news of his affair is brought to light, he decides to work things out with his wife, Deborah Hall (Renée Zellweger). In an effort to strengthen their struggling marriage, they volunteer at the local inner-city rescue mission. This is more of Debbie's dream than Ron's, but he is willing to put forth the effort, to mend their relationship.
Led by her faith, and a dream about a homeless man who will change their city, Debbie pursues a friendship with a troubled homeless man named Denver Moore (Djimon Hounsou). Her compassion leads Ron to develop a real friendship with Denver as well. While they all have different backgrounds, as their friendship grows, their lives are changed forever.
Based on a true story and the bestselling book, Same Kind Of Different As Me tells a captivating tale of forgiveness, friendship, family, and faith.
