Have fun building and playing with this working re-creation inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's 15th Century Trebuchet. A great activity for STEM education. Trebuchets were common siege weapons in Medieval Times and somewhat resemble a sling-like catapult. Learn history and have fun hurling hunks of modeling clay at a target. Mardel's product testers had great fun building then testing this simple machine. Our guys learned that the amount of weight placed in the counterweight box is directly proportional to the distance achieved. Much to our delight, two–three pounds of counterweight (try pennies) fired a marble-sized ball of clay more than 15 feet in a straight line. This activity invites competition! Adult supervision is strongly recommended.

Aside from peak seasons, most orders will ship within 2-3 business days and tracking is provided via email when the order is given to the carrier. Delivery usually takes an additional 3-4 business days, and some locations can take longer for the carrier to complete delivery.
