<p>The trials of going through a tumultuous disease can be taxing on the individual going through the disease itself but also on the loved ones. The Catholic faith seeks Saint Peregrine in prayer for those suffering from cancer and other illnesses. According to the story, Peregrine mad a fresh start by becoming&nbsp;a friar and&nbsp;helping the sick and needy people. Later in his life, he contracted an illness&nbsp;in his leg that would need to be&nbsp;amputated. He went in prayer and in his sleep he had a visitation from Jesus who touched his leg. The next day Perregrine was found to be miraculously healed! He is considered to be the saint of cancer in Catholicism.&nbsp;</p>
