In the weeks following the Resurrection, Clavius (Joseph Fiennes), a powerful Roman military tribune, and Lucius (Tom Felton), his aide, are tasked with dispelling rumors of a risen Messiah in order to prevent an uprising in Jerusalem. As they question people who claimed to witness a risen Yeshua, they uncover increasingly miraculous accounts, disturbing both Romans and Hebrews alike. When more unexplainable evidence comes to light, Clavius starts to question everything he previously knew and begins to follow a path he never thought he'd tread.
