Based on the movie sequel, God's Not Dead, Hope Springs is back where Christian Grace Wesley is a teacher of high school history. She is in trouble with the school district after she answers Brooke Thawley's questions about Jesus during a classroom discussion. Now Brooke is caught in an epic court case that could cost Grace her career. 

Tom Endler, an attorney with the teachers' union is made to represent Grace so she can fight for her 1st Amendment rights, free speech. He doesn't believe in the cause he is fighting for and his research leads him to Amy Ryan, a former skeptic and cancer survivor who's faith was tested while battling the disease. She watched the classroom battle unfold but both are wanting to find out what faith really is and they fight to save Grace's job as well as free speech.
