Jackie Hill Perry shares her story in Gay Girl, Good God, while presenting practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up without a father, ad experienced gender confusion. She loved pornography, abused marijuana, and embraced masculinity and homosexuality with everything she had. She knew Christians had something to say about the way she was living her life. Was she supposed to change herself? How would she stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?
When she was 19, Jackie came to terms with what it meant to be made new. It wasn't in a church or through talking with Christians. God broke through and turned her heart towards Him right in her own bedroom, in light of His gospel.
Read to understand, to hope, or, like Jackie, to be made new.
